The files you receive from me will be large video files corresponding to the tape you gave me. I can't break up the files into bite sized clips you might have more fun sharing, but I can provide an older piece of software that has worked pretty well for me if you are a windows user. For Mac users iMovie should do the same only better.
Windows Movie Maker was freely available until 2017, Microsoft no longer provides it, but I have a copy and it installs in modern windows environments.
You can drag and drop video files into the edit, or import them from the buttons in the header. Once they are in the editor the easiest way I have found to break up clips is to move the black bar to where you want the clip to start and right click and select Set Start Point, then move to the end and right click and select Set End Point.
Then you will only have that clip in the editor. At which point you can do File->Save Movie -> Recommended for this project. Then save the file and you can share it. You can then hit Ctrl-Z to undo your edits and start again for another clip.
